Exterior

The owner states this Corvair has new paint inside and out. The Corvair was the first unibody model to be produced by Fisher Body, and this beauty is finished in gold. Exterior equipment consists of a louvered rear decklid, quad headlights, and chrome trim and bumpers. Factory 13″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps. The Corvair’s factory independent suspension utilized coil springs all around including swing axles at the rear. Stopping power is provided by quad drum brakes.

Interior

The interior consists of all original tan vinyl upholstery and joined by matching door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments also include a black dashboard, radio, heater, front bucket seats, lap belts, and black floormats. Behind the two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and fuel read out. The odometer shows 44k miles which are stated to be original.

Drivetrain

The rear-mounted, air-cooled 164ci flat-six is bone stock and the seller states 2 professional mechanics have gone completely through the car and all service is up to date.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transaxle.
