The purpose of discipline at Everest Academy is to help students develop self-control, responsibility, and positive character. Our approach emphasizes guidance, accountability, and respect while fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Student Expectations
Students are expected to:
- Greet others with Islamic manners and etiquette.
- Show respect to teachers, staff, parents, and fellow students.
- Keep classrooms and personal belongings organized.
- Demonstrate proper behavior during prayer and worship.
- Walk quietly and respectfully in hallways.
- Follow school dress code requirements.
- Arrive prepared with necessary materials and a positive attitude.
- Contribute to a safe and respectful school environment.

Inappropriate Conduct
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:
- Disrespect toward students or staff
- Fighting or aggressive behavior
- Profanity or inappropriate language
- Bullying, name-calling, or harassment
- Theft or vandalism
- Cheating or academic dishonesty
- Refusal to follow directions
- Chronic tardiness
- Leaving designated areas without permission
- Possession of prohibited items including drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or weapons
Corrective Measures
When inappropriate behavior occurs, school staff use developmentally appropriate interventions designed to teach responsibility and encourage positive decision-making.
Interventions may include:
- Verbal reminders

- Administrative intervention when necessary
Physical punishment, humiliation, or harsh disciplinary methods are never used.
Progressive Discipline
