Our Response to Intervention (RTI) Program is a multi-tiered framework designed to identify student needs early, provide targeted support, and monitor progress to help all students reach their full potential.
RTI is not a special education program. Rather, it is a school-wide approach that uses data, evidence-based instruction, and ongoing progress monitoring to support students academically, behaviorally, and socially.

The Three-Tier RTI Model
Tier 1: Core Instruction

Approximately 80% of students respond successfully within Tier 1.
Tier 2: Targeted Support
Students who need additional assistance may receive supplemental interventions designed to address specific academic or behavioral concerns.

- RTI Team collaboration
Students who demonstrate improvement may return to Tier 1 support.
Tier 3: Intensive Intervention
Tier 3 provides individualized and intensive support for students who continue to experience significant difficulties despite previous interventions.

- Frequent progress monitoring
Customized intervention plans - Collaboration with specialists and support staff
If progress remains limited after intensive interventions, the RTI Team may recommend further evaluation.
School-Based RTI Team
The Everest Academy RTI Team works collaboratively to support student success.
The team may include:
- School Administration
- School Counselor
- Classroom Teachers
- Academic Support Staff
- Other Relevant Specialists
The team reviews student data, develops intervention plans, monitors progress, and works closely with families throughout the process.
Positive Behavior Support
RTI at Everest Academy extends beyond academics and includes behavioral support.
Our Positive Behavior Support (PBS) system helps students:
